Working in Second Life

We are in the process of setting up a project using the online virtual world Second Life. You can find out more about Second Life here:

The key idea is to create a space where young people can develop a wide range of life skills. I will post some more on this as the project develops.

In the team we see this as an exciting opportunity to understand how virtual worlds like Second Life can enhance the real world.

InterLife Project goes live

Some recent good news is that we have been awarded funding by the ESRC to investigate learning in a 3D virtual world called ‘InterLife’. The project will be up and running in September 2008. We hope to present a preliminary paper at EARLI 2009 in Amsterdam.
