Prehistoric Sites in Argyll
Just recently I have had a little time to indulge my interest in the prehistory of this part of Scotland. We have recently been visiting Kilmartin in West Argyll, where there is one of the greatest concentrations of prehistoric activity in the UK. There is a great database collection if you are interested in this topic. It’s at: http://www.rcahms.gov.uk/index.html
We started this visit by travelling to Kilmartin village, just north of Lochgilphead, and about 90 minutes from Helensburgh. The Google Map of Kilmartin is here.
If you use Google Earth this link is to a Google Earth file that will take you to Kilmartin Church.
